Description

Ghassoul is a volcanic clay from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Other names for this are Rhassoul, lava clay or red Moroccan clay. It has been used in Morocco for centuries by the Berber population. The name Ghassoul means washing in the Berbers. This same clay is widely used in hammams.

The volcanic clay Ghassoul of Andelia has no other additions. It is hypoallergenic, 100% natural, contains no harmful substances and contains many natural minerals such as silicon, aluminum, magnesium, iron, calcium. The clay ensures that the skin is thoroughly cleaned and that the waste materials are absorbed by the clay. You can use the clay as a face mask, hair mask or body wrap. An important characteristic of this clay is that the skin cells are removed and the skin enriched with nutrient minerals.

Instructions for use Ghassoul for hair mask: Make sure that you do not use metal objects to create the mask.

1. Place one tablespoon of Ghassoul in a bowl and crush / grind the lumps (You can also do this in a mortar beforehand).

2. Add hot / boiling water until it becomes mud. Stir until it is completely smooth and there are no lumps left. You can determine the thickness yourself. If you have added too much water, add some Ghassoul again to bring it to your correct thickness.

3. Your mask is now ready for use. Massage the mud per section into the hair and leave it for an hour.

4. After an hour you can rinse the clay with lukewarm / warm water and see the result.

Tip: For extra moisturing you can add a few drops of argan oil and / or tonka oil to the paste when you make the clay. Also rose water is often used instead of normal water.

See here a tutorial of vlogger Adede how she uses the Ghassoul (Rhassoul) clay.
